Brian Mullis has been town manager since September 2024. Prior to that he was a paramedic for thirty years, most of that time with Mayo Regional Hospital EMS, he served as director of Mayo EMS for approximately 13 years. He is currently also a per Diem paramedic with Three Rivers Ambulance in Milo, Me and a per Diem firefighter and paramedic with Newport Fire Department. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine. He has lived for almost thirty years in Dover-Foxcroft where he has served as a selectman, budget advisor committee member, health officer, emergency preparedness coordinator and firefighter. He is married, his wife Liz is a social worker and executive director of the Good Samaritan Agency in Bangor and they have an adult daughter who is in her sophomore year at the University of Maine as an environmental science major.

Michelle was born in Dover and raised in Abbot. She graduated from P.C.H.S in 1984. Michelle worked at Ben Franklin’s five and dime store for 6 years. Michelle’s parents owned and operated “ Dottie’s Restaurant”, where she also worked on occasion. When Ben Franklin closed, she applied to the Guilford Town Office as a part time clerk. After working for Guilford for 30 years, she decided she might need a change in careers. Michelle worked for Maine Highlands F.C.U. and the Dover Family Practice until she got a call from Patrick Lewis, The Town Manager of Sangerville. He wanted to know if I was interested in getting back into town government. Michelle started work in the Town of Sangerville in September of 2023.
Michelle moved to Sangerville in 2013 with her partner Rick Hall. They have three children, Dale, Devin and Chelsea and three grandchildren, Bentley, Neveah and Axel. She has many hobbies from snowmobiling, riding ATV’s, kayaking, watching her son in derby races, her daughter in dressage shows, scrapbooking, taking pictures, swimming, traveling, attending Special Olympics, but most of all, doing things with her family.

Kelsey grew up in Saco, Maine. In 2009 graduated from Thornton Academy and went onto Mount Ida College in Newton, MA graduating with a degree in Mortuary Sciences in 2011. After working in the funeral industry for about eight years, moved to Sangerville in 2016.
Kelsey enjoys spending time with her two children going to local fairs and watching tractor pulls, swimming at the lake with friends, working on the farm and attending events in the community. Kelsey strides to assist in making Sangerville a welcoming community and place to live.

The Municipality of Sangerville administers a General Assistance program for the support of the poor. Pursuant to Title 22 MRSA SS4305, the Municipal Officers have adopted an ordinance establishing the program. A copy of this ordinance is available for the public inspection at the Town Office. Also available for inspection is a copy of the State’s General Assistance statutes, as copies of the state law are made available to the municipality by the Maine Department of Human Services.
- The General Assistance Director, is Michelle Nichols, General Assistance Administrator. Applications are available during normal business hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
- Completed applications must be submitted with all necessary supporting documents. Cases of extreme emergency may be considered on an individual basis. The General Assistance Administrator will issue a written decision within 24 hours of receiving an application. Emergency after Town Office hours- call 207-876-3223 or 207-462-9436. The Department of Human Services toll-free telephone number to call with a question regarding the General Assistance Program is 1-800-442-6003.

While Sangerville does not have a “leash ordinance,” the State of Maine Animal Welfare laws do detail your responsibilities in keeping your animals from running at large and being a nuisance to your neighbors.
- Please keep your rabies shots for your pets up-to-date and consider having your pets neutered or spayed.
Licensing
- All dogs are required to be licensed annually, the deadline is December 31. There will be an additional fee charged for late registration.

Matthew Blockler was born in Dover-Foxcroft in 1987 and raised in the town of Sangerville his whole life. In 2007 Matt took interest in helping others and the community by becoming a firefighter. Over the 18 years in the fire service, Matt has strived to further his education by completing Firefighter 1+2 classes, Hazmat Operations, and various other training courses to stay ahead of the changes that face the industry. In June of 2023 he was appointed as the Fire Chief and has worked to further the capabilities of the Sangerville Fire Department to provide a level of care and service the residents of Sangerville can be proud of.

Maine allows you to use any of the following for identification to register to vote:
