While Sangerville does not have a “leash ordinance,” the State of Maine Animal Welfare laws do detail your responsibilities in keeping your animals from running at large and being a nuisance to your neighbors.

Licensing:  All dogs are required to be licensed annually, the deadline is December 31.  There will be an additional fee charged for late registration.   Click here for the rules and regulations governing dog licensing.
