Good afternoon, it has taken some work, but I believe we have the current town website, at least in part back on-line. We will be going to a new website with a new provider within a few weeks. Going forward I will try to post the same message simultaneously on the town website and facebook.
Greetings citizens of Sangerville,
I would like to update you on a few projects we are working on. First, today is the last day you can vote early without an emergent reason, such as being in the hospital. We are open until 5:00 PM if you wish to vote early. If not, please be sure to exercise your right to vote on this coming Tuesday, November 5th. Voting for Sangerville residents will be at the Grace Bible Church on the Douty Hill Rd. from 8:00 am until 8:00 PM. Because of voting, our clerk and deputy clerk will be busy at the polls on Tuesday, so the Town Office will be closed next week both Tuesday and Wednesday, (we are regularly closed on Wednesdays).
Happy Halloween one and all, whether or not you observe this day, please be aware that many little people will be about streets and roads, and very excited about candy. Please drive with extra caution. If you are responsible for one of these little people, remember, reflective clothing, masks with good visibility and keep a close watch on your little tricker or treater will make it a happy Halloween for them.
With Halloween in the rearview mirror, winter will soon be upon us. Please remember not to park in town right of ways during the winter where you can obstruct our snowplows. We do not want to tow anyone’s vehicle, so we would really appreciate you working with us.
Work on the Burroughs Rd. will be wrapping up tomorrow. I am very happy with the result. We hopefully will be moving on to some work on the West Road next week. I feel it is very important to improve the condition of that road to such that it is passable for all vehicles during the spring mud season, especially emergency vehicles. We will continue to evaluate other road needs in town as budget and season permit.
I have had several questions about work on the town hall. We are still waiting for reports from two different engineers and are still looking for someone to do some work on the roof before winter. I am currently researching a historic preservation grant that I hope to submit next month
Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone, happy November and please remember Saturday starts deer season for everyone so blaze orange in the woods is a good idea if you are hunting or not.
Brian
